Four screw holes on the bolt section and two on the receiving end attach securely to your intended surfaces. The bolt housing is slightly tapered toward the business end; the resulting resistance keeps the bolt from sliding open inadvertently, without impeding the smooth operation when opening or closing. The curled heads of the bolt handles and the textured black finish stand out as an example of classic workmanship, and the overall feel and sound of it in action are very satisfying.
